NOAH STONE - #J-81895
CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION
BRIGGS HALL 57-L
PO BOX 107
TEHACHAPI CA 93581

Noah's incredible story is included in the forthcoming book, "Chosen Children."

Born 8-1-58, Bakersfield, CA, & named Kenneth Owens at birth, he was re-named Kenneth Gill by his adopters, & in the 1990's obtained a legal name change to Noah Stone, as he desired to have a name "all his own." His was a black market adoption when he was age 3-1/2. AmFOR found his mother, 2 sisters, & 1 brother, & also assisted his previous parole. He reunited with his family at his parole hearing & they kept in touch during his Release & re-incarceration, but their contacts have dwindled so he welcomes outside contacts.

Noah describes himself as follows: "I look more White than Indian, am 75% Irish/Dutch, 25% Blackfoot/Lakota, & have gone to Indian sweat lodges when possible. I'm 5'7", Brown hair sometimes shaved bald & Brown eyes,135 lbs. I'm laid back and mellow most of the time, good humored, though sometimes short fuse temper but quick to forgive & to fall in love. I've been divorced since 1986. Hobbies include Indian arts and beading bone chokers etc., sketching. I may work as a trucker when I parole." He likes books on Indian culture/history, religion. Like jazz, classic rock and some country music; interested in current issues."

In 2008, about a month after Noah was released from prison, he was transferred to Palm Desert, CA, where was temporarily staying with friends & contacted AmFOR and later he phoned to say he'd hitchiked out of town tp visit his sister before being returned to prison for another 17 months or so for being in possession of drug paraphenalia, still a monkey on his back. It is hoped that next time, he'll complete a rehab program such as the model program called Delancey Street.

Noah welcomes outside contacts.
